PostSubject: Awaiting Backup   Awaiting Backup EmptyFri Aug 03, 2012 4:38 pm

Dokuhari stood at the top of the right ledge to the entrance into Sunagakure. Arms crossed, he looked out at the desert, monitorying any and all people who crossed into Suna's borders. There was a terrible accident not too long ago, an explosion - or maybe multiple explosions - that rattled the city greatly, even waking Dokuhari from his slumber. The village was in despair, and the culprit snuck in right under their noses. It was embarressing. But Dokuhari was going to do his best to help repair the village, and right now, his newest mission was to await help from other villages. He had never actually been past the Kaze no Kuni country borders, and he wondered what exotic people would arrive.

Even though it peaked his curiousity, it was boring work. He just stood there all day. Due to the recent catastrophe, the security at the entrance was enhanced, and barely anyone moved through anymore. The most Dokuhari did so far was stop an old merchant, check his supplies for traps, and let him go through. Seriously, this is slacker work. This is a job for ninja who are horrible on the front lines. But he would never complain in front of the other shinobi. At least he was only posted here for today, possibly tomorrow, and was done. The others had to stay there every day. Must really suck, he thought.

He wore his cloak today, bracing himself for the sand-carrying winds of the desert. No one in their right mind would want to stand out here in this, but Dokuhari has to. He found it hard to stand in one spot for the duration of the time. He wanted to move around, talk to people, etc. But no one wanted to talk, everyone was silent and serious. Gosh, couldn't anyone lighten up? Wait...someone's coming! Dokuhari saw shadows advance towards the village from the desert horizon. Was it the ninja who were sent to help? He would find out soon enough! He dropped down from the ledge, landing with a padded 'PFFF' on the sand below. He turned, standing just inside the entranceway, staring out at the figures as they moved. This is were he stood, and waited, hoping his mission was soon to be over.

Awaiting Backup Empty
PostSubject: Re: Awaiting Backup   Awaiting Backup EmptyMon Aug 06, 2012 9:56 pm

He had been traveling for miles now, not stopping for anything even though he knew the most important thing was rest. It took him a few more minutes to get to the large desert sands that were just on the horizon moments ago. It was all of the sudden that a large heatwave hit the jounin and he could almost instantly feel the sweat start to form on his neck. The sands slowed his movements slightly, but he trudged on. The heat was horrendous and he now remembered why he requested to rarely be sent on missions to Sunagakure. How had he survived when he was a genin and wearing that large overcoat? It was absurd to think that he had once almost killed himself by the heat because of his choice of clothing. Either way, Kazuo pushed all the thoughts off to the back of his mind and focused on the structure in the distance. There was smoke rising from it, that was clear from a distance, and Kazuo knew this was the Hidden Sand. A smile crossed his jaw and he sped forward. D-Rank mission or not, he was going to be ready to help out the village of Sunagakure no Sato whatever the costs. But the jounin had no idea what would really happen on this mission, how much could be lost just because of one little slip-up. For even though this was a D-Rank mission, his life would be on the line. A smirk now fully on his face, Kazuo finally approached the large village, watching for any sign of life at the village borders.

Noticing that there was a shinobi at the entrance to the village. He must be the person to report to, and that was exactly what Kazuo was going to do. The boy in front of him looked younger than him and the jounin smiled, pointing to himself and stating his business, "Kazuo Sato, jounin of Kumogakure no Sato. I was sent here for a D-Rank mission by Lord Raikage, I assume I'm supposed to be reporting to you?" By the looks of the silver-haired male he was a chuunin, although there was no identification flak jacket to tell him otherwise. For all Kazuo knew this boy could be a genin who had yet to pass the chuunin exams! But the Sato clan member wasn't one to judge others just by appearance. Back in the day he could have passed for a genin when he was a chuunin as well. Granted he wasn't as scrawny as the lad in front of him, but he was still skinny and short. But thankfully his growth spurt kicked in and his mission pay and shinobi benefits payed for the much needed food that kept the jounin from looking any more like a twig. It was a blessing to have such a kind and caring village that supplied its shinobi with the best things that they needed to survive. But of course that was the thing for all villages now wasn't it? Now questions started to enter Kazuo's head, all he wanted to know was the sake of the village in front of him. He couldn't see much, but what he could shocked him.

Blood had stained the sand, many buildings had extreme damage to them, and it was clear that the damage was as horrific as it seemed. Kazuo's playful nature subsided and morphed into a more serious nature. "I can't believe that someone could just waltz right in and destroy almost an entire village. How bad are the damages? Was anyone killed?" The jounin would be relieved to hear that no one had died, but still there was many shinobi and civilians in the hospital as they spoke. It would be the reason that the village of Sunagakure had sent out for help, many of their shinobi had been injured or were on missions of their own. As the jounin stood and awaited for answers to the questions, a memory flashed back of when he was a genin. A simple escorting mission to the hidden sand from his home village had classified as a B-Rank mission due to the distance between the two villages. It was only him and his teammate along with their sensei, but that was the last mission he had with his team. It was right after that mission that Kazuo became a chuunin, lost his most trusted ally, and slipped into the shadows of ANBU. Never again would Kazuo travel in a team that wasn't his, always taking solo missions from his Raikage. Of course the jounin still had friends from both ANBU and his past days at the academy, but he was still lonely. But all that was sure to change after this mission, and after the genin of Kumogakure no Sato graduate.

Awaiting Backup Empty
PostSubject: Re: Awaiting Backup   Awaiting Backup EmptyTue Aug 07, 2012 1:17 am

Dokuhari straightened himself up as the ninja approached, looking worn and hot from the unrelenting desert climate. The shinobi was obviously foreign - it was hot, no doubt - but being native to Sunagakure Dokuhari was barely affected by the heat. He waited until Kazuo directly approached him, and bowed his head. Wow, a Jonnin? They sent a Jonnin on this mission? The Raikage must be really concerned to do that! And why wouldn't they be? If Sunagakure was so easily attacked, any other village could be next. That was just Dokuhari's pondering, though. It would be horrible if this terrorist struck elsewhere and did just as much damage. He might not have killed anyone now, but next time - if there was a next time - they might not be so lucky.

"Greetings. I am Dokuhari Kikai, a Sunagakure Chunnin. Yes, you will be reporting to me for the time being. I'll escort you to the Kazekage's office to learn the details of your assistance. I hope you can be a great asset to the village."

It was true, Dokuhari did not look anything like a traditional Chunnin. But he was trained specifically in Puppetry, and spent almost no time toning his body or working with Tai-Jutsu, so he sacrificed his physical strength for ninja puppetry. And really, he did not regret this. He liked to think he was good at being a Kugutsu master, and thought he would eventually gain his revenue from his expertise. But he was still relatively young - and an even younger Chunnin - so he didn't expect to hit the ground running, exactly. But he made due with what he had, and what he had was enough for now.

He lead Kizuo through the village entrance and into the village, trying not to stare at the destruction around them. It really was bad - Dokuhari tried not to think about it. Luckily his own house was not heavily damaged from the blasts, but it still shook him to think that this happened quite literally just next door. If he were to get the chance, then he was definitely going to try and get his revenge on the guy responsible himself! Yeah, he was ready alright!

"No, there are no casualties as of right now. The damage varies around the city...and I cannot believe it either. The fact that one person did this much damage right under our noses..."

The puppeteer stopped walking when they reached the large building, carrying the Kanji for 'KAZE' on it's large entrance. The Kazekage's office building was probably hit bad as well, and if so, then they could probably see Chunnin and Jonnin already getting to work with their duties of restoration. Dokuhari turned to Kazuo, preparing to return to his post at the village entrance. Surely there was more than one Shinobi arriving to help them - and Dokuhari would have to escort them as well.

"I will be leaving now. If there is anything else you need, feel free to ask before I go back."

Reiha smiled as she looked at the gates leading to Suna so this was the place where the man that bombed the city was she really hoped many bodies were laying around but sighed as it seemed no one died. This was a sad day she did not even get to enjoy all the deaths this place had to offer, still maybe she would get to face some of those criminals she would be most pleased if that was the case. So far her team was behind her as she had chosen to skip them the last night of travel and headed there first, those people and that tainted sensei drove her nuts but she was not sure who to talk to as she approached one of the guards coughing slightly to get their attention.

"I am part of the Konoha back up force where do I report and to whom, I would be most pleased if you told me."

He pointed to a man standing not to far away as she walked toward him, at least this one did not seem tainted but he covered himself mostly so it was hard to tell. Her eyes traced his body up and down as she smiled, he had a decent body build from what she could tell but right now she simply wanted to get this job done and not waste any time.

"I am Amaya Reiha reporting for Konoha I was told you are the man to speak with about finding out my tasks. The other should be here shortly I sort of jumped ahead of them, however feel free to make use of me any way you can until then."

PostSubject: Re: Awaiting Backup   Awaiting Backup EmptyThu Aug 09, 2012 2:15 pm

Judging that his time escorting Kazuo was over, Dokuhari nodded once to the Jonnin and took off in a blur, hopping from building-top to building-top, avoiding places of immense destruction. He landed on the ground when he got closer to the village entrance, and zoomed forward on foot, stopping when he reached his spot at the end of the narrow corridor-like entrance. He stood there for a few more minutes, silently catching his breath as the warm desert air blew his cloak too and fro behind him. He kept his eyes forward, watching for any sort of movement on the horizon, when his attention was grabbed by the sound of a cough. However, due to this being unexpected, Dokuhari jumped to the side with his hand in his ninja tools pouch, eyes locked on Reiha. Seeing as it was a younger child though - even stating herself to be a ninja from Konoha. But she looked so...young. She was most likely a Gennin, and if so, were was her squad? She didn't trek the desert alone, did she?

"You will temporarily report to me. I am Dokuhari Kikai, Chunnin of Sunagakure. And...no, I am sorry, but you are a Gennin, correct?"

Dokuhari approached her, pulling his hand out of his pouch and staring down at her. His expression was unreadable - entirely serious and emotionless - and it was becoming obvious that he was not going to let her through so easily. But who would? A Gennin appears to you in the desert, without a team, claiming to have 'moved on ahead of them', and just expects to waltz into the village? Not on Dokuhari's watch - at least, not yet. He shook his head, and began to speak again.

"I am sorry, but until your squad leader arrives here to see you in, I am not allowed to let you enter. I hope you understand - if they are arriving shortly the wait won't be too long. Please, come this way."

He motioned with his arm for her to move along to a bench on the inner side of the wall, shaded, but not exactly in the village just yet. She would be helping rebuild when her squad arrives, that's final. It's not like Dokuhari didn't want her to help, but he was sure he would be scolded for allowing a Gennin to enter the village unattended and alone. He didn't want to be demoted just because Reiha was impatient and didn't want to travel with her squad, so he would not allow her to enter. Simple as that.

A long and bony arm, one that could be mistaken for the Grim Reaper's himself, reach out and gently tapped the Sunagakure Chunin from behind. But upon his touch, the owner of the arm, Shuri, was surprised. The Chunin had a build very identical to him, the paleness almost completely matched as well. He had markings on his face which let Shuri know he was a Puppet Master. Sunagakure had the largest abundance of these types of Shinobi. Who could blame them. No one in their right mind would want to train and hone their own bodies in this heat. Shuri was dying to find shade.

"I apologize for the rudeness of my student. I'm her Jonin Squad Leader, Shuri Takasugi of Konohagakure. It wasn't responsible of me to let her run on ahead but this little devil of a girl get's scary when you try to stop her from getting something she wants." Shuri said smiling. "Regardless, we're the reinforcements. The mission has called for simple repair duties a Genin can handle, and it does well for a young ninja to learn about different cultures."

Shuri spoke gently and calmly but he was getting increasingly testy. He didn't bode well in this heat. He'd probably just sit inside this entire mission while those little brats worked themselves to death in the sun. He had said it would teach them about culture but he really just wanted to see the 3 incredibly talented Genin he mentored struggle for once.

"Well we've cleared this up I do believe? Will you allow my team and I into your village?"

PostSubject: Re: Awaiting Backup   Awaiting Backup EmptySat Aug 18, 2012 2:59 pm

The trip from Konohagakure to Sunagakure wasn't as long as Kizoku expected. There were some trials and tribulation along the way that dealt with Kizoku's sanity, but all in all it was a short trip. Even though the trip was short, the genin team that was now officially dubbed 'Team Shuri' had to take a lot of breaks due to the fact that for most of the group the trip seemed to be taking its toll on them. Kizoku had never been outside the village before, the new sights and sounds astounded him. If this was what his older brother had to see daily he was sort of jealous. But then there was always the fact Kishi had to protect his brother, Kizoku had to be kept in the village for his safety. Even if Kishi was to train him, the Kitai clan member would still be miles away from his generation than he would if he were to be trained on a genin team like he was now. Besides, if he went rogue with his brother those many days ago he wouldn't have the protection of the Hokage, he wouldn't have the small bonds of friendship with his sensei and teammates that he now had either. All in all, Kizoku was actually grateful that his brother forbade him from coming along out of the village, it was too dangerous for a little genin straight out of the academy. Oh but only if Kishi could see him now! He was getting taller, stronger, and smarter as the days went on. His battle styles had changed from no plan at all to actually thinking; something that he would often chastise him on.

Through the trip in Hi no Kuni's borders, Kizoku had kept his hood on for the majority of the journey except for cases where his head started to itch. However once they reached the sands of the village he couldn't believe how sweltering hot it was. The hood had to go and the genin had half a mind to discard his thin jacket as well. And so he did, having tied it around his waist which revealed his dark blue undershirt. It was skin tight and formed around his developing chest and abdominals nicely. It was slightly translucent for being so thin and skin tight, but the article of clothing still hid his underage body from prying eyes. His arms had started to beef up, his muscles there starting to develop more as the days went on. They weren't large, but they were noticeable now that his jacket was discarded from shielding them. He realized how pale he honestly was now and smiled knowing that he was sure to get a tan now that the jacket was gone. However, his hair and baggy shinobi pants still gave him trouble and he had half a mind to chop each of those up respectively. But he held back his annoyance and trekked onward. It was after their next stop in the desert where Kizoku noticed that their team was missing one member. After downing a small gulp of water, he wiped his mouth and turned to his sensei, "Sensei, Reiha's gone," The genin was put on high alert as he and the remaining members of his team went forward, following Reiha's footprints.

The genin had to figure that Reiha would be the first one to disobey orders and as the village of Sunagakure no Sato came into view, Kizoku smiled knowing that he was close to his first real mission. Smoke from the village could be seen and the genin had to remember to mourn for those lost when he returned home. It was in that moment that Shuri went on ahead quickly, leaving Kizoku and Sui behind in the desert. The crimson-haired genin motioned with his hand to his teammate and nodded, "Let's go Sui," It took all of Kizoku's energy to try to keep up with their sensei, but he soon found himself winded and slowed down just enough to gain a decent pace. He saw his teammate and jounin sensei at the entrance to the village to where Kizoku ran forward. He bypassed his sensei and the man he was conversing with and walked up to Reiha, a snarl on his face. "Just what were you thinking Reiha?! You went on without us, in the shinobi world that's like a death wish. Someone could have easily picked you off and killed you, you wouldn't have stood a chance," The next part was whispered and his eyes narrowed, "Even with the Yonbi you would have been easy to beat," Done with chastising his teammate, the genin turned to the pale shinobi who was conversing with his sensei and stood beside the one who was his mentor. He was ready to help out Sunagakure no Sato no matter what it took. However they would have much more than they bargained for with this mission, especially for the genin.

Awaiting Backup Empty
PostSubject: Re: Awaiting Backup   Awaiting Backup EmptyThu Sep 06, 2012 1:31 pm

Jojo traveled with speed, she needed to be there for what was needed if anything at all. She would of course find the best refuge in spots that extended to her courtesy, as she would smile, the great ability of her skills extended past that of anything she could ever perceive as natural. It all helped with the possessive mind that one could be the head of all things while also protecting and forgoing one’s own goals without worrying at all. That was the greatness to Jojo and for her this would perceive as such a warm reception that she had to endure the longing wait of her fellow Shinobi. She would be going with them, or rather tailing behind them to offer all aid that she could without any so much as a scratch to her name to where she would happily find the places to where she could, with all courtesy, possess the knowledge needed.

It was at the moments of justice that she watched her young Shinobi grow and upon watching them, she would smile at their struggles because she knew they could overcome such times. She remembered her leaving of the village just to help out as she could recall the angst that occurred. “You are the Hokage, this matter concerns you not,” her aides have said but she had rhetorced in matters of her own. “I as a Hokage must also protect this village with all possible denotations. As such I will not take your behooving scrambled minded aggression anymore. You are relieved of all services as my aide and from henceforth you shall never assist another Kage again because by denying me you have denied this village of matto we hold dear to our hearts. The will of fire burns in us all but you show only cold aggression.

Where in I am banishing you from this village. You will not step foot here again, your name and face is already given to the anbu and they will escort you out, have a nice day.”
And that was how it was when she left, and as such she was now heading towards the land where her presence of most needed. She would smile then and head out faster towards Shuri’s chakra signature as she tailed him, tracking him was her specialty one could say as she traveled and found way to move into position as she would be walking up and behind the areas necessary. She would find way and refuge as she looked at the group. The Sand chuunin and her two genin and jounin from the hidden leaf. She would smile and wave to them, wearing her Hokage cloak, black battle garb made of silk, and her eyes narrowing to the chuunin. “I am their Kage, certainly you will let us pass now.”

Her eyes narrowed, her body engulfed in chakra feel in case someone could sense chakra, and her presence illuminated everything around her. She merely smiled at that moment and made head way to report in, she would smile again and then look at the two genin. “You two did well to manage to get here,” she would then round onto the genin who went on ahead without them. “You will see me after this is done. I wish to speak to you privately about your actions.” She would then smile as a carring grin presumed her face. She certainly held a charm about her self and her presence and with which she would not allow it to come to harm. She would then look at Shuri with a smile upon her face with warm eyes.

Jojo would open her mouth and then stopped for a second as she would step back looking at all of them. “I would like account of the situation. I am sorry but I do not understand what has all happened but I would be pleased to know what is going on here and what to do to help out. As I am in another’s land I will follow their lead but do know,” she would look at the chuunin, “We of the leaf are here to help out in any way we can as back up for the situation, whatever it may be.”

Shuri patted Kizoku's head once he finished scolding Reiha. The boy was very passionate in his scolding. Shuri couldn't tell if it was his dislike of Reiha, his genuine feelings about how a mission should be carried out, or a mixture of both. "Now now, Kizoku. Go easy on the girl. It was my fault for letting her go on by herself. I was secretly hoping she'd pass out and get pecked at by those scavenging buzzards. That would've been a fun experience." Shuri said with his creepy voice, wiggling his fingers in delight. He didn't actually mean what he said though. For some peculiar reason, despite her nasty mouth, Reiha was his favorite of his 3 Genin. Perhaps she reminded Shuri of himself before the scar and Jojo. 3 Genin. Where was the Kyuubi anyhow? Shuri stared in the distance with a blank expression on his face. He opened his lips to ask Kizoku "Hey...did little Sui even come with us on this mission?" but kept his mouth shut. He hadn't spent very long with these kids. Last thing he needed was them thinking he was a terrible Jounin leader. Which he was. He was sitting here with no clue as to whether the host of the nine tails was safe at home in air conditioning, or dead in the middle of the desert. Shuri lowered his hair over his face and pondered. Think Shuri, think. They made a campfire last night. They ate. They slept. How many sleeping bags were there? How much food was eaten?

As Shuri thought to himself, he felt a glorious chakra approaching. He touched his scar and smiled to himself as he lifted his hair away from his face. "My my...never thought she'd actually come here herself. Is this mission actually dangerous? Or maybe she just missed going out?" Shuri laughed just as a flash of green hair appeared before him. He loved the color. He loved the style. He loved the length. It was all perfection ontop of the one thing Shuri was obsessed with that was actually alive. He immediately kneeled down, and motioned his students to do the same.
"Hello Lady Hokage!" he shouted with excitement. When she turned and smiled, Shuri smiled back with a face of absolute adoration.
"What are you doing here Jojo?"
